About Us

Cathy Merrall is an award-winning Food Technologist, with a passion for good food. Cathy grew up in a farmhouse kitchen, surrounded by good cooks.
The fig tree in the back yard provided inspiration in later years when, with a farm of her own, Cathy was looking for a crop to plant.

Cathy and her family planted the fig orchard in 2000, and began exporting fresh figs in 2005. With larger quantities of fresh figs now being harvested, Cathy has turned her talents to developing the Ms Figgy range of products.

	Adrian Merrall is an IT specialist by day, and chief support person by night - he chops figs, labels jars, helps with sales and marketing, and is the sounding board for new ideas. Cathy and Adrian are ably supported by their three children, Alice, Gemma and Charlotte. Matt Welch and Kris Titus (Cathy's brother and sister-in-law) are responsible for the day-to-day management of the fresh fig operations.
